Relation Between OCD and Depression
Many have underestimated the relation between OCD(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). There are lot of similarities among both the disorders. OCD is mainly a case of anxiety disorders and depression is a mental state where the person is feeling low and has no self confidence. The relation between both the disorders is, they can both affect a person at the same time. The person suffering from depression has the tendency of acquiring OCD or vice-versa. These disorders can be caused due to many reasons.
OCD also known as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, is one of the most common disorders found in many people. The intensity of the disorder might vary. It can affect people of all ages and it is considered to be an anxiety disorder. It gives obsessive thoughts to the patients and the patient is known to show compulsive behavior. This is often repeated and is left unattended most of the times.
Causes of OCD
There are many causes for OCD. Some of the most prominent causes are

- It can also be due to wrong habits which are developed in the childhood.
Relation between OCD and Depression
The relation between both the disorders is said to be inter-related with the behavior of the patient. If the person is suffering from OCD then he develops a tendency of developing depression also. This is due to many factors like isolation, negligence of your social friends, etc. Both depression and OCD show similar symptoms. Though there is still no proper relation which has been found between both the disorders. But on clinical levels it is studied that both improve or deteriorate similarly.
